For the twelfth successive year, realbuzz registrations hosted the online ballot for the Virgin Money London Marathon
In just five days, a total of 414,168 people applied In the ballot to run the 39th edition of the world’s greatest marathon which will take place on 28 April 2019. For the second year in a row, this set a new world record for the highest number of applicants for any marathon on the planet.

realbuzz registrations has hosted the online ballot system for the London Marathon since 2006. As the event grows in popularity year-on-year, the platform has been continually developed to cope with the increase in demand from runners all over the globe.
The ballot for the 2019 event ran from Monday 30 April to Friday 4 May. Throughout the full ballot process, the system surpassed previous records for traffic and concurrent users, and performed flawlessly.

The results for the 2019 ballot will be announced by the race organisers in early October, when entrants will find out whether or not they have been successful.
